This scam is identical to the RCI getaway or bonus week reported in Dec of 2012 with Access Travel Network. This time the company in question is Business Corporate Travel (BCT). They have a website. The deal was for me to 'activate' my expiring 6 bonus weeks with RCI ($399 per week) so they could resell them to corporations for event travel in Orlando area. I would receive between $1600 - $1800 per week. They could not do a single week, it had to be all weeks at once. The associated contact numbers provided were 321 275 0968 and 407 743 3341.:

I was called by a person who said he could rent my RCI Getaway weeks for use by one or more timeshare resorts to draw in prospective purchasers. He would rent 6 weeks (maximum per person) for $1600 to $1800 per week, within 180 days maximum, providing $9600 guaranteed income for me. All i had to do was pay $2394 upfront to cover the costs. He wanted me to go to my computer on the spot and digitally sign the document setting this up, including my credit card info. My husband and I asked if we could call him back in ten minutes and he agreed. Meanwhile confirmed that this was a scam and we obviously did not call him back. The number given was 407-743-3178.

Received a call from a man named Robert Hillman. Claimed I had 8 get away weeks available through my RCI account and they were going to expire. Claimed they have a conference coming up needing weeks. I need to pay the $399 to unlock my guest pass per each week and in 60-90 days I would receive funds of $1400 for each rental week. I'm glad i did some research before giving the ok as we are having a hard financial time and this sounded like a great deal which would of been devastating for us financially. The phone number I was give 407-705-3512 hope this helps someone else from falling victim of scams. We havnt owned our time share 6 months and this is the 2nd scam call trying to get me to rent out my points/weeks

I receive several calls throughout the last few months from "Show Vacation Rental", phone # 321.926.4193. This guy was telling me that all owners @ RCI have 4 - 6 weeks that can rent out to generate owner income, and pushing me to activate my almost expiring 4 - 6 weeks Last Call Vacation at $399 each week. In return, he will guarantee me $1800 for each week I activated. When I asked him about tax form since there's an income generated, they should send me a tax form when the tax season comes up, he said since its owner's income, owners don't pay tax on it!!! Right there, I smell the SCAM....

I was left a voicemail from Alex on 8/31/22 stating he was calling in regards to my Wyndham timeshare, and to call him back because it’s time sensitive. I only called back because I just came from a vacation that same day from my timeshare and thought something was wrong. I called him back and he transferred me to Danny who then went into his now obvious rehearsed con saying I had 8 weeks with my RCI that he could rent out for $1800 a week, which I could get a return of $1440.00 within 3-6 months maximum. I should’ve known something wasn’t right when he said I have to put down $2392.00 for renters insurance etc. He had all my timeshare information which lead me to believe this was legit. IT IS NOT!!!!! Unfortunately I did give my card information before realizing it’s a SCAM and now I’m PRAYING my bank will stop the charge. Please be very aware how clever these scammers are getting to take advantage of the honest hardworking people. So sad. My prayer is KARMA WILL BEAT THEM IN THE ASS X10

Wow, so glad the Mrs. did her homework. All these comments illustrate exactly what happened to me today. Tina called my wife and left a VM saying we have RCI weeks that are going to expire and asked if we would be interested. Tina 407-289-0573. I called her back and she transferred me to Dustin 406-487-3999 which he proceeded to give me the spiel everyone on here described, down to the exact dollar amounts they told me. Unreal, so glad this didn't happen. Dustin sounded legit, telling me this is what he does and he pays his annual dues and anniversary presents for his wife. Shit like this makes me feel so stupid, but these people are professional scammers. I will call my resort in Florida in the morning and report it to them so they are aware.

Just had the same scam put to me . Let us rent out your unused weeks. Totally BS . I ask for legal documents to be sent so my lawyer could examine. No way, you can read online and sign online. No way. Any legitimate business will never pressure you to agree to anything without allowing you full access to relevant information. Upfront money to them, no way. Don’t fall for their BS

WOW! I am so glad I didn't bite, same thing for me just moments ago. Of course the $1800/week was very enticing, however the money up front killed it (thankfully) for me. They were very polite & nice, but money up front = scam! I also plan on calling Sheraton in the morning to talk to them them about this, more importantly ask them how it the eff do they have all of my timeshare information???

I received a phone call from Tara Nort 407-214-9037 saying I had extra RCI weeks I wasn't using and she has corporate travellers that will rent them. I have to sign a contract, pay for my weeks and I am guaranteed to make 1400 - 1600 a week. She is going to call me back on Monday to discuss further. I talked to RCI and they said they would never do this.

I just got a call from a company called Vacation Resorts Club, Joseph gave me the exact same spiel with the dollar amounts exactly. Seemed to good to be true so did some research and I'm glad I did. I said I'd call him back when I talk to my wife and he was like, I can hold while you call her. I said no. Then he was super creepy and pressuring me so definitely a scam.

I got a call from two people that sounded SO nice and helpful about this same scam. They can rent out my 6 unusued RCI weeks (that I had accrued since Wyndham aquired RCI) annually and pay $399 up front per week then get a check mailed out in 72 hours from the time the rental offer is secured. They were offering me $1600 (at least) for 6 weeks- guaranteeing that I pay $2400 up front but get $9600 back. She said she is with Business Corporate Travel at 407 268 6189.

These people are still at it. They have called me twice and both times absolutely insist that this 100% legitimate. All of the other comments about this company are accurate in that the same thing was pitched to me. Even after I told the manager I was transferred to that RCI says it is a scam, he goes on to explain that I could do the same thing they are doing, myself and collect all of the money rather than deal with contracts through BCT. Finally, he relented and says he will take my name off their calling list and quickly ended the call. The payout for these people is $2400 each time someone agrees to their sales pitch.

These people are still active. A female Alissa (not sure that's a real name)called me and gave same offer as all other reviews say. I questioned her legitimacy and she told to check corporate gateway rental on better business bureau. She seems to know my e mail address, name, phone info and that I an Wyndham club member. She promised to e mail at my request but so far did not get any!

I got the same spiel- almost exactly what everyone else had reported with the same numbers. $399 to activate 6 weeks of "get away weeks" so a total of $2,394 out of my pocket upfront. They told me I didn't have to pay taxes on my earnings. I decided to look up the validity of this offer online and so glad I did, thank you everyone for writing about your experiences so I didn't get scammed! I also verified with RCI and they said you don't get a certain amount of weeks as an owner and that it's definitely a scam. Save yourself the time on the phone and don't bother listening to them!

Received a cold call from Cathy Fioto of Vacation Rental Spots (vacationrentalspots.com) telling me I could activate RCI vacation weeks at $399 a week, so they could re-rent these weeks to corporations. Said I could get a net profit of $6006 dollars if I paid $2394 up front to "activate" the weeks. This is a scam. Run!
