Like all park models, things are tight for a family of four. But these all seem to be brand new and are very nice. Also, I have never slept in a bed this comfortable before! I'm not sure what brand it is, but it is wonderful. The resort assigns a host to each cottage, so I hope mine knows. There is a full kitchen, gas fireplace, living room, screened patio, bathroom (no tub), a sleeping loft for the kids, picnic table outside, a new gas grill, and a firepit. In the past, we've stayed at local hotels which charge around $200 a night in season. This rental was more expensive (about $2,000 for the week) but is much more comfortable! They are selling a points membership that can give you two weeks in a cottage for only $550 dollars per year. We are thinking about it since we come to OOB every summer. It costs $11,000 to buy the points for 20 years- but I think it would save us a lot of money in the long run. We've met some people who are seasonals here and are mad that they are now selling memberships. They talked bad about the resort and the owner, but I think it is more because they don't want to have to leave when the resort becomes private.
There are three pools here. One is a kids only pool that is a full sized pool but less than a meter deep. There are also hot tubs, several playgrounds, horseshoes, mini golf, an arcade, bike rentals, a store, a few laundrys and bath houses for the RVs. The main activity area has a huge screen where they show Nascar races and movies. There was also a band that played on the stage there.
All in all, its been a great trip and we will be back!
